Pictures from Connecticut

I didn’t take to many pictures with the digital camera while I was out in Connecticut, but here are a few nice ones:

We went to the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, CT. It was really a great museum. You get to tour the front half of the USS Nautilus, the worlds first nuclear powered submarine, and it just has an incredible amount of information in the museum itself. Outside they had a few displays.

This is a door off of a George Washington class SSBN.

Nautilus Screws
These are the screws from the USS Nautilus.

USS George Washington Sail
The sail of the USS George Washington, Polaris missle and Tomi.

We stayed in Hamden, CT which is really close to New Haven. I wandered around one night and got a few pictures with the digital.

Yale Alcove
An alcove on the Yale quad.

I have a strage fascination with parking garages and stairs. Don’t ask me why, but I do. Here are some pictures of a ramp in down town New Haven.

Back From Vacation

After spending the past week in New England, I’m back. I apologize for not posting while I was there, but just having my iPhone (yeah, thats a gadget ‘name drop’) with me I wasn’t really inspired to write too much. Expect some reflections on the trip shortly.
Until then, I would invite you to check out previous posts and make comments as you see fit.
